AFA Hawaii Chapter 138 sponsored Astronaut Dr. Ellen Baker's visit to Hickam AFB to speak to children about her experiences as an astronaut. Dr. Baker is a graduate of the USAF Aerospace Medicine Course and long time friend of Air Force Space Command Commander, General Kevin P. Chilton . An astronaut who's flown two space mission on NASA's Space Shuttle Atlantis and one on Space Shuttle Columbia , Dr. Baker had plenty of interesting stories to share with elementary students in Hickam AFB's School Age Program. Dr. Baker's inspirational presentation stirred the excitement and imagination of over 200 children at the AFA Chapter 138-sponsored event. AFA Chapter 138 is proud to have sponsored Dr. Baker's visit and is very grateful to Ms. Mary Duncan of the School Age Program for her support in making this happen.
